How To Make Sourdough Cinnamon Buns
These fluffy and tangy buns are made with sourdough starter and topped with a sweet cinnamon glaze.

Ingredients
- 1 cup of sourdough starter
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, flour, sugar, salt, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle shape on a lightly floured surface.

Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and ground cinnamon.

Starting from one of the longer edges, roll up the dough tightly. Cut the rolled dough into 1-inch thick slices.

Place the cinnamon bun slices into the greased baking dish. Cover with a damp cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake the cinnamon buns in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

While the buns are baking, prepare the cinnamon glaze by mixing 1 cup of powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk until smooth.

Remove the cinnamon buns from the oven and let them cool slightly. Drizzle the cinnamon glaze over the warm buns.
