How To Make Redcurrant Jam

Ingredients
- 500g fresh redcurrants
- 300g granulated sugar
- 1 lemon (juiced)
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions

Rinse the redcurrants and remove any stems.

In a large saucepan, combine the redcurrants, sugar, lemon juice, and water.

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the redcurrants have burst and released their juices, about 10 minutes.

Increase the heat to high and bring the mixture to a rolling boil.

Cook for an additional 50 minutes, stirring frequently, until the jam has thickened and reached the desired consistency.

If desired, use a hand blender or potato masher to break down any remaining whole redcurrants.

Remove the jam from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Pour the jam into clean, sterilized jars and seal tightly.

Allow the jam to cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
