How To Make Porridge Plus

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk (any type)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (e.g. almonds, walnuts)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • Fresh fruits, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine oats, milk, water, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to low.

  3. Simmer the porridge for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired thickness.

  4. Stir in raisins, chopped nuts, and sweetener (honey or maple syrup) until well combined.

  5. Remove from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

  6. Serve hot in bowls, topped with fresh fruits if desired.
