How To Make Mozzarella Sticks with Chilli Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 8 mozzarella sticks
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

In a shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, and paprika.

Dip each mozzarella stick into the beaten eggs, then roll in the bread crumb mixture, coating completely.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the coated mozzarella sticks for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on a paper towel.

Transfer the fried mozzarella sticks to a baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and gooey.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat the tomato sauce, chilli powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Serve the mozzarella sticks hot with the chilli tomato sauce on the side.
