How To Make Honeybread Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the cold butter to the bowl and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Stir in the honey and milk until just combined.

  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together.

  6. Roll the dough out to a thickness of about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) and use a biscuit cutter to cut out rounds.

  7. Place the biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

  8. Serve warm.
