How To Make Harissa and Halloumi Skewers

These spicy skewers are the perfect combination of charred halloumi and flavorful harissa.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 block of halloumi cheese, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons of harissa paste
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into chunks
  • 1 red onion, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 8 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

  2. In a small bowl, mix harissa paste with a tablespoon of water to make a marinade.

  3. Thread halloumi cubes, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers, alternating between each.

  4. Brush skewers with harissa marinade.

  5. Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until halloumi is charred and vegetables are cooked.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
