How To Make Glamorgan Cheese Sausage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 200g Glamorgan cheese, grated
  • 1 leek, finely chopped
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the grated Glamorgan cheese, chopped leek, breadcrumbs, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.

  4. Spoon some of the cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry square, then fold the pastry over to enclose the filling and seal the edges.

  5. Place the sausage rolls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam-side down.

  6. Brush the rolls with the beaten egg to give them a golden color.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.

  8. Serve the Glamorgan cheese sausage rolls warm as an appetizer or snack.
