Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 12 asparagus spears, trimmed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface and cut it into 4 equal squares.

  3. In the center of each square, place a spoonful of shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, and 3 asparagus spears.

  4. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Fold the corners of each square to the center, forming a pouch. Press the edges to seal.

  6. Brush the tops of the puffs with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

  7. Place the puffs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and puffed up.

  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
