How To Make Celebration Vol-au-vents

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 200g of cooked chicken, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
  • 4 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4 squares.

  3. Using a smaller cookie cutter, cut out the center of each square, creating a border.

  4. Place the pastry squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. In a bowl, mix together the cooked chicken, mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  6. Spoon the chicken mixture onto the center of each pastry square.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

  9. Top each vol-au-vent with a halved cherry tomato and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

  10. Serve immediately.
