How To Make Upside-down Peach Sponge
A delicious and fluffy sponge cake topped with sweet and juicy peaches, served upside-down for a stunning presentation.

Ingredients
- 4 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a 9-inch round cake pan, pour the melted butter and sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over it.

Arrange the sliced peaches on top of the butter and sugar mixture.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, beat the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter over the peaches in the cake pan, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

Carefully invert the cake onto a serving plate, allowing the peaches to be on top.
