  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • Food colorings (assorted colors)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

  6. Divide the batter equally among different bowls, depending on how many colors you want to use.

  7. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix until the desired color is achieved.

  8. Fill each cupcake liner with a spoonful of each colored batter, creating a marbled effect.

  9. Use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the colors together to create a unicorn-like pattern.

  10. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  11. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
