How To Make Strawberry Tartlets Recipe
A delicious and tangy treat filled with fresh strawberries and a buttery tart shell.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 2 tbsp of granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- Whipped cream or powdered sugar for topping (optional)
Instructions

In a food processor, combine flour, butter, sugar, and salt. Pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add egg yolk and pulse until dough comes together.

Shape dough into a disk and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

On a floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out 4-inch circles and place them into tartlet pans.

Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.

Fill the cooled tartlet shells with the strawberry mixture.

Top with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Serve immediately.
