Smoked Haddock Tartlets with Poached Eggs & Chives Recipe

How To Make Smoked Haddock Tartlets with Poached Eggs & Chives

Ingredients

  • 4 ready-made tartlet shells
  • 200g smoked haddock fillets
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Place the tartlet shells on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.

  3. In the meantime, poach the smoked haddock fillets in simmering water for 5-7 minutes until cooked through. Remove from the water and flake into small pieces.

  4. Poach the eggs in a separate pot of simmering water for 3-4 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.

  5. Remove the tartlet shells from the oven and fill each shell with the flaked smoked haddock.

  6. Carefully place a poached egg on top of each tartlet and season with salt and pepper.

  7. Sprinkle chopped fresh chives over the tartlets.

  8. Serve the smoked haddock tartlets with poached eggs & chives immediately.
