How To Make Pear & Blackberry Crumbles
A deliciously sweet and tart dessert with juicy pears and flavorful blackberries topped with a crispy crumbly crust.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, diced
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a large bowl, combine the sliced pears, blackberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and ground cinnamon. Mix well to coat the fruit evenly.
-
Transfer the fruit mixture into four individual ramekins or a medium-sized baking dish.
-
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and salt. Mix well.
-
Add the cold diced butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until crumbly.
-
Sprinkle the crumbly mixture over the fruit in the ramekins or baking dish, covering the fruit evenly.
-
Place the ramekins or baking dish on a baking sheet to catch any drips. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
-
Serve warm as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
