Preparation: 15 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 35 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan.

  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well, then shape into four patties.

  3. Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. If using cheese, add a slice to each patty during the last minute of grilling.

  4. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes, until slightly toasted.

  5. In a separate bowl, combine shredded cabbage, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the cabbage with the dressing.

  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a scoop of slaw and cover with the top half of the bun.

  7. Serve the burgers with extra slaw on the side, if desired.
