Ingredients

  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 3 tbsp of white miso paste
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 cup of shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup of pomegranate seeds
  • 1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp of rice vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, miso paste, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Form into 4 patties.

  2. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.

  3. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or until lightly golden.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, pomegranate seeds, mint leaves, mayonnaise, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper. Toss until well coated.

  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun and topping with the mint and pomegranate slaw.

  6. Serve the miso burgers with mint & pomegranate slaw immediately.
