How To Make Low Calorie Apple Cake
A moist, light and fluffy cake that’s low in calories and packed with sweet, juicy apples.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup peeled, cored, and diced apple
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and lightly coat a 8-inch round cake pan with cooking spray.

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Beat in the applesauce, vanilla, and egg until well combined.

Gradually add in the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.

In a separate small bowl, toss the apple pieces with lemon juice until coated.

Gently fold in the apple mixture to the batter with a spatula.
