How To Make Green Burgers

These green burgers are a tasty and nutritious option for vegetarians. Packed with fresh greens and flavorful seasonings, they’re a healthy twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of baby spinach
  • 1 cup of frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/2 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the spinach, peas, cilantro, red onion, garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until well blended but still slightly chunky.

  2. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and add the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and eggs. Mix well to combine.

  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.

  4. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.

  5. Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute or two, if desired.

  6. Serve the green burgers on the toasted buns with your favorite toppings.
