How To Make Dumplings

These dumplings are a delicious and comforting treat, perfect for a family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/4 cup minced green onions
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Gradually add water until a dough forms. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  2. In another bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.

  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it is about 1/8 inch thick. Cut out circles using a round cookie cutter or a glass.

  4. Place a spoonful of the pork mixture onto each dough circle. Fold the dough in half and pinch the edges to seal.

  5. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook for 10 minutes, or until they float to the surface.

  6. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
