Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 30 round dumpling wrappers
  • 1/4 cup water (for sealing)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together ground pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.

  2. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold in half, pressing the edges together to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Cook dumplings in batches, adding more oil as needed, until golden brown on the bottom.

  4. Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Cook for 5 minutes or until the dumplings are cooked through and the water has evaporated.

  5. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
