How To Make Summer Porridge

Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions

In a saucepan, bring the milk to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

Stir in the rolled oats and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender and the mixture has thickened.

Remove the porridge from heat and stir in the honey (or maple syrup) and vanilla extract.

Divide the porridge into serving bowls and top with fresh berries and chopped nuts.

Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.
