  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits (such as raisins, cranberries, and cherries)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or almonds)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 6-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

  5. Fold in the mixed dried fruits and chopped nuts.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.

  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
