Fluffy pancakes filled with melted chocolate and topped with caramelised bananas.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- Optional toppings: whipped cream, maple syrup, chopped nuts
Instructions
-
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
-
In a separate bowl, combine milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
-
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on both sides. Repeat with remaining batter.
-
In a separate skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced bananas and brown sugar. Cook until bananas are caramelized and sugar has melted, stirring occasionally.
-
To serve, stack pancakes on a plate and top with caramelized bananas. Optional: drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with chopped nuts, and add a dollop of whipped cream.
