How To Make Chive and Parmesan Scones
These savory scones are perfect for breakfast or tea time.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup cold milk
- 1 large egg
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add Parmesan cheese and chives to the flour mixture and whisk.

Add butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a small bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Add to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times to bring the dough together.

Pat the dough into a 6-inch circle and cut into 8 wedges.

Transfer scones to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops of the scones with milk.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
