How To Make Sardine Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of sardines in oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until golden brown.

  2. Add garlic and green chili and sauté for a minute.

  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until mushy.

  4. Add all the dry spices and salt, and stir for a few seconds.

  5. Add sardines and mix gently.

  6. Pour in water and let the curry simmer for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.

  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.
