Ingredients

  • 2 cans (4.5 ounces each) of sardines, drained
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mash sardines with fork.

  2. Add bread crumbs, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, black pepper, and egg. Mix well.

  3. Form mixture into 8-10 small patties.

  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

  5. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
