Ingredients

  • 4 cups of apple cider
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup of dark rum
  • Cinnamon sticks (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the apple cider over medium heat until warm.

  2. In a separate small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.

  3. Once the butter is melted, stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves until well combined.

  4. Whisk the butter mixture into the warm apple cider until fully incorporated.

  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the dark rum.

  6. Pour the cinnamon butter rum into mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks, if desired.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
