How To Make Slow Cooker Yogurt

Want something a little more on the light and healthy side of desserts? Go for these yogurt recipes to create a dessert that’s easy to whip up and is delicious right down to the last bite. Chill at home with your homemade yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of whole milk
  • 1/4 cup of plain yogurt with live cultures

Instructions

  1. Pour the milk into the slow cooker and heat on low for 2 hours.

  2. Turn off the slow cooker and let it cool for 2 hours or until the milk reaches 110°F (43°C).

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt and a little bit of the warm milk until smooth.

  4. Pour the yogurt mixture into the slow cooker and stir well.

  5. Cover the slow cooker with a lid and wrap it in a thick towel to keep it warm.

  6. Let the yogurt incubate for 4-6 hours on the warm setting of the slow cooker.

  7. After the incubation period, refrigerate the yogurt for at least 4 hours to allow it to set.

  8. Serve chilled and enjoy!
