  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 medium Chinon apples, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick. Cut out 4 circles, approximately 6 inches in diameter.

  3. Arrange the apple slices on each pastry circle, leaving a small border. Sprinkle them with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.

  4. Fold the edges of the pastry over the apples, creating a rustic crust.

  5. Brush the melted butter over the pastry and sprinkle with additional sugar if desired.

  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.
