How To Make Cherry & Almond Tarts

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of pre-made puff pastry
  • 1 cup of cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cup of almond flakes
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal squares.

  3. In a bowl, mix the cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and almond extract until well combined.

  4. Place a spoonful of the cherry mixture onto the center of each pastry square.

  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the cherry filling, creating a tart shape.

  6. Sprinkle almond flakes on top of each tart.

  7. Place the tarts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.

  9. Allow the tarts to cool for a few minutes before serving.
