  • 1 sheet of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup of pitted cherries
  • ½ cup of almond meal
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of almond extract
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and place it into a 9-inch tart pan.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the almond meal, sugar, melted butter, and almond extract until well combined.

  4. Spread the almond mixture evenly over the puff pastry.

  5. Arrange the pitted cherries on top of the almond mixture.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the cherries are soft.

  7. Allow the tart to cool before serving.
