  • 4 large eggs
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gently tap each egg on a hard surface to make a small hole on one end. Empty the eggs into a bowl and set aside for later use.

  2. Rinse the eggshells and carefully dry them. Place them in an egg carton for stability.

  3. In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate over a pan of simmering water, stirring occasionally.

  4. Once the chocolate has melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  5. Add the chili powder and cayenne pepper to the melted chocolate and stir well to combine.

  6. Dip the eggshells into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Place them back in the egg carton to set.

  7. Optional: Decorate with sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.

  8. Refrigerate the egg lollies for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate is firm.

  9. Carefully remove the eggshells before serving.
