Ingredients

  • 500g minced beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and paprika for seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a large skillet, brown the minced beef over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, and garlic, and cook until softened.

  3. Stir in the tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce, and cook for 2 minutes.

  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add the frozen peas and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and paprika.

  6. Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top.

  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and the filling is bubbling.

  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
