Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb white fish fillets
- 1 lb mussels
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
-
Add the ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
-
Add the fish fillets and mussels to the skillet. Cook for a few minutes until the fish starts to turn opaque.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together the vegetable broth, heavy cream, and flour. Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir gently to combine with the fish and mussels.
-
Simmer for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
-
Transfer the mixture to a pie dish.
-
Roll out the puff pastry sheet slightly larger than the pie dish. Cut a few slits in the pastry to allow steam to escape.
-
Place the puff pastry over the pie dish, pressing the edges to seal. Trim any excess pastry.
-
Brush the top of the pastry with the beaten egg.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
-
Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving.
