How To Make Pistachio & Cranberry Pork Pie

Ingredients
- 500g ground pork
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 100g shelled pistachios, chopped
- 75g dried cranberries
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sheet of pre-made puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, onion, garlic, pistachios, cranberries, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Roll out the puff pastry and line a 9-inch pie dish with it, trimming off any excess.

Fill the pie dish with the pork mixture, spreading it evenly.

Cover the filling with another sheet of puff pastry, pressing the edges together to seal the pie.

Brush the top of the pie with the beaten egg wash.

Make a few small slits in the top of the pie to allow steam to escape during baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the pastry is golden brown and the pork filling is cooked through.

Allow the pie to cool for a few minutes before serving.
