Mincemeat & Pecan Palmiers Recipe

How To Make Mincemeat & Pecan Palmiers

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 tbsp of mincemeat
  • 4 tbsp of chopped pecans
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle shape.

  3. Spread the mincemeat evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

  4. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the mincemeat.

  5. Starting from one long side, tightly roll the puff pastry towards the center, stopping at the middle.

  6. Repeat with the other long side, rolling towards the center to meet the first roll. Press lightly to seal.

  7. Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled pastry into 1/2 inch thick slices and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  8. Brush each palmier with the beaten egg wash.

  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  10. Allow to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
