Ingredients

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 apples, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar, maple syrup, cornstarch, and vinegar while continuing to beat until mixture becomes glossy.

  4. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming a circular shape with a well in the center.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until the pavlova is crisp and dry. Allow it to cool completely.

  6. In a separate bowl, whip the whipping cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.

  7. Place the cooled pavlova on a serving platter and fill the center with the whipped cream.

  8. Top with sliced apples and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
