  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon zest, lemon juice, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and the blueberries release their juices, about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and let cool before using as a pie filling or topping.
