  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 4 medium-sized apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut them into rectangles.

  3. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.

  4. Spread the melted butter and bread crumbs evenly over each puff pastry rectangle.

  5. Place a generous amount of the apple mixture along one edge of each rectangle.

  6. Carefully roll up the pastry, making sure to seal the edges.

  7. Place the rolled strudels onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  8. Brush the tops of the strudels with melted butter and sprinkle with a little sugar.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

  11. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
