How To Make Pumpkin & Pecan Strudel

Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 sheets phyllo dough
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.

  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough flat and brush with melted butter. Repeat with remaining phyllo sheets, layering them on top of each other.

  4. Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly onto the phyllo dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

  5. Roll the phyllo dough tightly to form a strudel shape.

  6. Place the strudel on a baking sheet and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  8. Allow the strudel to cool slightly before slicing into individual servings.

  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
