- For the dough:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- For the filling:
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter
- For the cream cheese frosting:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

In a separate bowl, mix together the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling. Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly on top.

Roll up the dough tightly from the long side, then cut into 12 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and cover with a towel. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
