Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Amaretto liqueur
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and Amaretto liqueur.

  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  5. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.

  6. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top of each muffin.

  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
