Ingredients

  • 4 cups of fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the diced peaches, sugar, and lemon juice.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a simmer.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for 30-45 minutes, or until the peaches have cooked down and the mixture has thickened.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.

  5. Transfer the peach preserves to sterilized jars and seal tightly.

  6. Allow the preserves to cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
