Cooking: 40 minutes
Total: 60 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 kg nectarines, pitted and diced
  • 500g granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. Place the diced nectarines in a large saucepan and sprinkle with sugar. Let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the sugar to extract the juices.

  2. Add the lemon juice to the saucepan and stir well.

  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the jam thickens and reaches the desired consistency. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  5. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes before transferring to sterilized jars.

  6. Allow the jam to cool completely before sealing the jars and storing in the refrigerator.
