Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 5 minutes
Total: 25 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 small balloons
  • 8 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • Sprinkles, for decorating
  • Ice cream or fruit, for serving

Instructions

  1. Inflate the small balloons to the desired size and tie them off. Rinse them with water and let them dry completely.

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted. Stir in the vegetable oil until well combined.

  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip each balloon into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat the bottom half. Place the coated balloons on the prepared baking sheet and refrigerate for about 15 minutes or until the chocolate is set.

  4. Once the chocolate has hardened, gently deflate the balloons with a needle and carefully remove them from the chocolate bowls.

  5. Decorate the chocolate bowls with sprinkles, if desired.

  6. Fill the chocolate bowls with ice cream or fruit and serve immediately.
