Ingredients

  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a large saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa powder, and milk over medium heat.

  3. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat to low and continue stirring for 5 minutes.

  5. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.

  6. Stir in nuts, if desired.

  7. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

  8. Let it cool at room temperature for 2 hours or refrigerate for 1 hour.

  9. Once cooled and set, cut into squares and serve.
