How To Make Caramel Apples

Ingredients
- 4 apples
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions

Wash and dry the apples. Remove the stems and insert a popsicle stick into the top of each apple.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the sugar, cream, vanilla extract, and salt.

Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Continue cooking for about 10 minutes or until the caramel reaches a deep golden brown color.

Remove the caramel from heat and let it cool slightly.

Dip each apple into the caramel, turning to coat evenly. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and harden.
