Total: 15 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 8 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

  2. Remove the cream from the heat and add the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute to allow the chocolate to melt.

  3. Stir the mixture until smooth, then add the butter and continue stirring until melted and well combined.

  4. Allow the ganache to cool slightly before using it as a glaze or frosting. If using it as a glaze, pour it over your desired dessert. If using it as a frosting, let it cool completely before spreading on cakes or cupcakes.
