How To Make Snowflake Biscuits

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut it into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, mix together the milk and vanilla extract. Gradually add the milk mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until the dough comes together.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it forms a smooth ball.

Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) thickness. Use a snowflake-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the biscuits and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow them to cool on a wire rack.

Once cooled, dust the biscuits with powdered sugar before serving.
