How To Make No-Sugar-Added Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, applesauce, and vanilla extract.

  3. Add the rolled oats, nuts (if using), raisins or dried cranberries, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined.

  4. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop heaping spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  5. Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon.

  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
